Kentia palms are a soft clean palm with minimal mess or damaging roots.It is rare to see seed pods on Kentia palms which are valuable to seed collectors here in Sydney Australia.
Also the Kentia palm is the most wind tolerant of all the palms (it’s natural home of Lord Howe island is an extreme wind place!)
I have witnessed it to be an extremely drought tolerant palm.
Kentias are extremely slow growing in the sun (why they are so expensive!)
If you are landscaping outdoors it is very important to purchase only Sun hardened stock as cheaper shade grown plants will burn in the sun and generally take many years to recover.
