Description
Giant Buddahs Belly Bamboo (Bambusa Vulgaris ‘Wamin’) is a splendid ornamental plant or hedge. Everyone wants to touch it and rub the striking bellies for good luck. It will only grow to 5 meters, with very thick shiny culms. It tends to stay very green and is very tough.
NOTE: this bamboo can get very wide, it is only suitable to a large pot or large garden
The roots are very strong and a fence will not stop it if left to go wild for many years. It is more suitable to Bansai and keep cut. If regularly trimmed it is absolutely spectacular.
Only suitable for a large hedge in a rural sized yard.
Incredibly tough and resilient to bad weather and poor sool.
UPDATE- we prefer and supply the Wamin “Striata” version of this plant it is much prettier!
